There was no premine or instamine, and no portion of the block reward goes to development team. See the initial Bitcointalk thread here. The founder, thankful_for_today, planned some disputed changes that the community disagreed with. A fallout ensued, and therefore the Monero CoreTeam forked the project with the community following this new Core Team. This Core Team has provided a oversight since.
Monero has created several massive improvements since launch. The blockchain was migrated to a special information structure to supply larger potency and flexibility, minimum ring signature sizes were set in order that all transactions were personal by mandate, and RingCT was implemented to cover the dealing amounts. Nearly all enhancements have provided enhancements to security or privacy, or they need facilitated use. Monero continues to develop with goals of privacy and security initial, easy use and efficiency second.

XMR Stak is a common Stratum pool, which not only mineing Monero, but other tokens like SumoKoin, Electroneum, and coins that are powered by Cryptonight_lite algorithm and Cryptonight. XMR Stak is known to generate more than other miners hash rates and is well optimized. After the recent release of ASIC(Application-specific integrated circuit ), Electroneum and Monero have switched their PoW(Proof-of-Work) onto Cryptonight V7. Hence configuring the XMR Stak might help you to get started with mining Cryptonight’s V7 algorithm.
How to start Mine Monero in a Mining Pool
Mining Monero as part of a mining pool involves to becoming a part of a group of miners who mines and shares their hash resources as part of a joint effort to complete blocks and share the proceedings in form of (XMR)Monero tokens. Mining pools will also charge a usage fee in the form of a percentage from whatever you manage to mine in the mining pool. Yet, pool-based mining comes with the benefit of having access to a more regular income stream and facing lower initial investments in the mining rig. Yet, neglecting the hardware side of things means having to wait longer to get a reward, so the pressure to select the best possible GPU or CPU for a rig still applies here, despite the fact that you are not engaged in solo mining.
